Appearance/Personality:
Assumably timid with an uncertain air about him, Taka is quite accustomed to being underestimated in every possible way. He is modest, can be outrageously clumsy (given to dropping things, falling down staircases and tripping into bushes), doesn't appear to be particularly good at anything, and is often found in the background, overshadowed by his peers, unable to speak up or simply allowing everyone else to speak before he does. But when brandishing a chopping board and knife, something very distinct changes. His brows furrow, his stance confident, determined, valiant - he becomes a different person altogether, one marked by a loud boisterous voice and a devil-may-care persona. Some think it's a personality disorder, prompted by a near-death experience or an equally dark past; others may realize that this is simply Taka's way of dealing with things, at times one can take a step forward, every other time a step back. But in that event, this makes for a very interesting friend to have and is what ultimately draws others to him.
Taka has chestnut brown hair fashioned with supposedly ridiculous sideburns, yet he pulls the look off surprisingly well. He is tall and sturdy looking, stalky perhaps, intimidating at first until, of course, he displays some gawky mannerism of his and in which case, will then make any bystander more comfortable with him. And as he is used to doing legwork, a number of sports, and can be found jogging around the academy in his spare time, Taka is often seen decked out in a pair of track pants, muscle shirts and sneakers.
History:
Most butlers hail from lineages of the most dependable, most sought after families in the nobility. Taka, on the other hand, comes from a sushi restaurant, a business his father was immensely proud of and one he was hoping to inherit in the future, if his cooking skills are any indication. However, due to financial circumstances, their family restaurant had to be closed down. Taka's dream of becoming the greatest sushi chef on earth evidently did not follow. And with the desire to get his life in order, he took to becoming a butler, a means to provide for his family as well. Learning the ropes, paving the way for a new goal. At present, although he still wishes to become the best sushi chef the world has ever seen, Taka also hopes to be the greatest butler in his own right, supporting his master with a 'burning' passion.
