If I tell myself it's like the Hobb's Land gods, will that make it less creepy? I don't know. I used to like the idea of things like that, symbiotes and sentient animalcules that lived inside you, that you have to learn to deal with and get along with--but that was before I found out there's one in my boyfriend. Maybe part of it is that in most of ( Read more... )

It is my theory that the egg is intrinsically connected to the people collapsing, or at least to Emmy's collapse.

It sounds so stupid to say it aloud, but: that's how mysterious, abruptly procured items of ancient origin work. We never find such things by accident, whether they be good or evil. And something about the egg simply bothers me, and I studied it for only a few minutes, in the end. I feel different now. Not quite right in the head, do you know what I mean? If I feel like that after such brief contact (and I would be interested in studying it further), I can only assume that it should have done something peculiar to you. I haven't fainted yet but maybe I will later...

It is true that when Ann found that locket under the blasted stump, she ended up getting possessed by a demon...I hope nothing like that is happening here.

I don't pretend to understand what you and Neddy do for a living, but I am glad to hear that Neddy's condition is better than I thought.

Thanks. And, umm...how are you? Your posts lately have seemed a little ominous.

Oh. The fellow whom I remember telling me, "I love you," on multiple occasions, has now up and vanished into thin air, and I mean that nearly literally. Theoretically he is doing missionary work now, but you see, I can't even picture him clearly in my head now.

You might say that this bothers me.

Yeah, I can see how that might. Vanishing without warning is a really annoying--not to mention alarming--trait in a significant other. And the memory thing is a little worrying, although it could just be a defense mechanism.

If you ever want to talk or hang out, feel free to come over.

It would be a Lie if I said I felt okay-but I haven't Fainted Since the party, and I Suppose that counts for something. Nevermind that a migraine-Persists-

(I can't begin to Speculate on the Peculiarities of the event. I seem to have Forgotten Much of it-maybe I hit my Head-?)

Virginia and I were thinking of Visiting-perhaps Thursday, or This weekend, whichever is your convenience. (Would you Mind? Would Neddy?)

Something tells me I should have stayed closer by you lot at the party. Never a dull moment at Eupheme parties, is it?

Is this egg the same one Emmy and Virginia were carrying?
