So if finished the two drabbles I committed to in that meme last week. They were fun to write, if nothing else, but man I really don't know what went on here and they are completely unbeta-ed and basically just weird.

Drabble #1: for rosehiptea
Fandom: the hunger games
Rating: PG/PG-13
Characters/Pairings: Finnick/Annie
Warnings: Mockingjay spoilers like woah.

This is pretty neat! (Sorry I took so long to reply; I haven't been on the internet much at all this past week due to AP exams and such.) I particularly like these two lines: John sees it on the floors of the Congress, where he wages wars on his opponents with words and gambles the future of the everyday person with careful sentences. His eyes glitter in the midst of debate.

No problem, I'm sorry this took so long to post for such short pieces of writing, haha.

I always love the idea that people use words as weapons and I wax poetic about it in fic CONSTANTLY. (It's why I love writing Peeta, lol.)

the little caption of that one moment between Finnick and Annie....the way you wrote it, completely broke my heart. It's written so beautifully, and knowing that he will never make it back, has me in tears right now. Extremely well done, short but it holds so much emotion.

Sorry I didn't get a chance to read this right away. It was so moving. I loved how it had sweetness and yet an edge (besides the sadness.)

And I like the little John Adams bit too. Made him seem human but noble too.

No problem! I'm glad you liked it, I really don't write enough so I'm always a little antsy when I post things for people.

I always had a soft spot for John Adams so the prompt made me smile.
