Feliz Navidad

The holidays are very hard for me now. I don't get the same nervous excitement for Christmas like I did when I was a child. It doesn't help that my family lacks the nostalgic feeling of celebrating time together. My step-mother, for instance, refuses to purchase anything I want, leaving me with the feeling that A) She doesn't know me, and B) She ( Read more... )

Yeah, what a random anonymous comment...

Anyways, what you speak of is exactly what I'm talking about in addition to just plainly not fitting in with my family and loved ones. I actually think you have a point as well since all of my friends from home have at least moved to the tri-cities. AND although Roanoke is not very far away, it is still far enough to seem ages more advanced than Wise VA. I can't even get soy milk at the coffee shop :( and you should have seen their faces when I asked for a black iced coffee... had to tell them how to make it ("just pour some coffee over ice").

I'm in until the 4th. Going to the tri-cities tomorrow with my mom to break the news of my Mexican boyfriend and skiing (hopefully) on Wednesday. Other than that, I'm around...and bored, so give me a ring :)

This transition process is very annoying and since I always want everything in my life to happen immediately, I tend to want to fast forward past this stress. I really think the way of living through it is finding your own contentment in spite of not having a permanent place ( ... )
