Character Tweaking

I admit to taking some liberties with Karolina. For one thing, I ran with the veganism and just proclaimed that her species can't process meat protein. I mostly wanted to make them more than just shiney humans! They must be similar enough to humans to reproduce the same way (I think Karolina would have noticed if she'd made it to seventeen years old without a single period!) and I wanted to differentiate them somehow. The implication was there, I just jumped to a conclusion.

I'm also playing it as though you can get an idea of her mood from her light-color. Dominant reds and oranges mean frustration, embarassment or anger, yellows, pinks and greens imply happiness, optimism and general good mood, and blues, purples and turquoise mean she's calm and relaxed or determined and in-control. There's usually a great deal of yellow involved in all of her moods, and the colors are always a mix of all of the above, but certain shades become predominant when she's feeling something strongly. The more intense an emotion the more vibrant the colors. When she's laid back they're more muted. Again I kind of drew this from the book itself, as she goes awfully pink when Xavin, Julie and Nico compliment her.

So, my question to you guys is this: What, if any, expansions have you made on implied character traits? They can be physical changes or personality tweaks! Or do you think you play them pretty true-to-form?
