At the top of the list of Things That Are Harshing My Squee is the amount of Arthur/Gwen hate that has exploded since the trailer was released. People, they're obviously going there, there's nothing you can do, so deal with it. Wow, I'm kind of shocked- for some reason I had it in my mind that Merlin fans were just happy little fans who never bashed. Maybe cause Merlin is such a happy show and I can't see anyone hating any of the characters? Who knows.

My opinion though? I ship Clex, but I knew it would never happen on the show, so I wouldn't get mad over Clark or Lex being in other relationships. I also ship Clois because (once again) Clex was never happening. So that's how I feel about Arthur/Merlin, and I'm kind of surprised so many people are mad.

We do have that reputation, but in recent times it's gotten a little more...heated?

When you look at the Merlin fandom and at the show, you can see that it's one giant ship war waiting to happen, which makes me incredibly nervous.

We could have both! I'm still not giving up on them having it planned for S2 but they're keeping it hush hush while ~distracting us with Arthur/Gwen. IDK why they would keep it hush hush, BUT I CAN DREAM.

We all knew it was going to happen, they obviously have taken major liberties with the legend but we all knew they wouldn't write this one out. And while I love Merlin/Arthur as much as the next fangirl, I still have plans to enjoy what they do with Arthur/Gwen. SO THERE, WORLD!

And THANK YOU for being the voice of reason. This needs to be said more because this is going to be so much worse over time.

I actually surprised myself by being excited and happy to see them kissing! I think it's cos I love Arthur like crazy and he does have some incredibly sweet moments with Gwen, and I like seeing that side of him? Anyway, you know I'm Merlin/Arthur all the way but I'm still looking forward to seeing how this plays out. :P

Heee, IKR. Excited isn't the word I would use, but it'll be nice to see him ~open up and ~put his guard down a little. I'm also interested in seeing how they handle him being crown prince and her being a servant. I'm thinking angst, and I am excited.
