Your grasp on espionage is brilliant, the set up, the actual carry out... it's really really well done. Looking forward to Wednesday. And the bits when they both fall out of the professional image, those are rather touching.

And um, made him sorit of want [sort?]

I'm glad you think so. I learned most of it from Alias, tbh. Yet another thing I have to think JJ Abrahms for, I guess. Thanks

Yes, it probably is, but could you point me in the right direction? I wrote this part in November, I don't know it very well anymore.

Hah, Ludlum novels from my side. I've never seen Alias actually, is it good?

It's in the paragraph right after Lance talks about relaxing via piano.
The falsified intel arrived in Berlin on Tuesday morning, ... he'd had to think had made him sorit of want to know more about the boy,

The first season is very good but I personally lost interest around the beginning of the third. It's good if you like a good espionage story, though.

Ahh thank you, ok. I'll fix it.

I just started reading this fic, and I'm so glad I found it! It's so spot-on in terms of a spy story. And I'm really enjoying the slow build up of their relationship. Can't wait for more.

I really like the way Merlin is opening up and how disarming it is for Arthur. Being immersed in British culture has certainly not been as off putting as the Soviet government hoped and Merlin dealing with regular people day after day has put a human face on people his government are hoping to hurt. He's so young, it's no wonder his opinions are still evolving. It's making for an interesting slant on his character and on the story.

Thank you! You have a very good grasp on this Merlin. Your articulation has actually helped me think about him more clearly, thanks!

OH! I just continue to adore this SO DAMN MUCH! I love how brilliantly awkward Arthur is with people. I liked this: As far as Arthur could tell, actually, Lancelot didn't really have much of a personality. and this: There was no chapter in the Service handbook called What To Do When The Russian Double Agent Whose Case You Handle Starts Opening Up About His Life As A KGB Spy. made me laugh. The lyrics at the beginning make me grab my ipod and listen to that song as I read each chapter, which sets the mood so wonderfully. I love the detail about Kennedy's speech and that the German is wrong. I am so suspicious of Nimueh. I have theories. Your Merlin just breaks my heart. I simply adore him and Arthur here. And Lance-the-pianist might be the best thing ever. Also, Will. I have a huge soft spot for Will. I always love seeing him in things! This 'verse is so gorgeously put together and I doubt I could love this much more than I already do.

Haha, those were some of my favorite parts as well. And you're on the right track with Nimueh, but I must say I doubt you'd be able to guess what I've got up my sleep at this point, but it makes me endlessly happy that you have theories.

Thank you!!

I liked how it's going. Merlin being on edge and worried about everything and Arthur seemingly calm about it. I'd worry about Fenn, though. A double switch might just do the trick. Good job.

Thank you! Fenn won't be an issue, though, but I will say there are some other people they should be worried about.
