i'm enjoying this so much! your level of detail just makes me feel like i can happily sink into this story and really be immersed in it.

oops, my bad for not having commented earlier. I LOVE all the history (some of which even happened in my lifetime :-) I love espionage novels, and am really into this story and especially how you're leaking out bits and pieces of Merlin's life, making him a very special and sympathetic character who's in a quite precarious position, and how Arthur is basically his lifeline and anchor. Love how you're updating frequently and hope to see more soon!!!

Kennedy's assassination has shaken both men, and Merlin's breakdown was heart breaking and understandable. He's in an extremely stressful situation, straddling two worlds with nobody to turn to but Arthur. It must be exhausting. You're making their growing friendship happen organically despite Arthur's best efforts. It's hard not to feel for this young, excitable double agent. He's very, very enthusiastic and charming. And pretty. And he has great taste in music. It's all very entertaining.
