To my artist friends -

Do you have any tips on watercolors? I feel like working with them today! I'm no artist by any means, but I want to have fun with it :) I've been dying to watercolor since I saw this artist at a local crafts fair! I looooove his work!

So! Any tips for a super novice? :)

I always sucked with water colors, unless I mixed a little white acrylic in it and used it on muslin rather than canvas or paper. It's one of those ones where you paint your light areas in and then your darks as accents, so it's like painting in reverse for me. and it spreads, and is meant to be softer and usually less precise. Mostly try different thickness (water, less water, fat soft brush, small hard brush) and make sure the paper and brushes you're using are designed for that medium!
