It can be very exciting to plan a vacation. There are a number of ways to go about it. Of course, you could have a travel agent make all the arrangements. But it is more exciting to investigate all the possibilities of travel.
First, you can check the hundreds of guidebooks which can be purchases at bookstores. Then you can send away to the government tourist offices in the country you are planning to visit. They will send you lots of free literature about the country - places to visit and a list of accommodations. The travel advertisements in your newspaper will tell you where the bargains are. After you have planned your trip by looking through the guidebooks listed to the right, ask your travel agent to do the actual booking.
