Reason: Midnight snacks?
Phoebe covered up her stomach hurriedly, as if it would stop it from grumbling. She had missed dinner that night, staying after class (Geometry, naturally, Phoebe was so horrid at that subject) to beg her professor to teach her how to do the stuff that was on next Monday's quiz, or else she'd fail. Nearly two hours later, and Phoebe was grasping the difference between a kite and a rhombus, among other things.
She opened the refrigerator door, knowing nobody would mind. This sort of stuff happened all the time, really. Hungry students out after dark - a normal sight. She looked around, and pulled out a jug of milk, then heading around for a bowl and the cereal. Cheerios were quick, and Phoebe was not cut out for cooking. Honestly.
She was also rather tired, all the math getting to her brain. Her eyes seemed to droop automatically as she poured the cereal, and as she walked back with the milk to the refrigerator. But on the way back to the table, she slipped and fell, letting out a short "aah!" on her way to the ground. Phoebe groaned, standing up and rubbing her back almost irritably, but cheered up when she realized that hey, at least she didn't have the cereal bowl in her hands, right?
Stretching slightly and feeling rather glad that nobody was around, she started to walk back over to her cereal.
