Date: Sunday, September 11 Time: 7:00 P.M Week Number // Name: 2 // The Gossip Train Characters Open To // Involved: Jessie // Clockwork and Dasher Reason: Let's get to know one another....
She wasn't lost, really. She knew exactly where she was going. Which was here. Yes. Well, sort of. Everyone had been relatively nice and had tried to show her around, but she wasn't catching on so well. She proceeded down the hall, keeping her steps in check as always. Opening one of the doors that didn't look too scary, Jessie found herself inside a lounge of sorts. She closed the door quietly behind her before turning around, she didn't want to disturb anyone and make a bad impression. After all, she was still trying to make friends.
Oh! That was...Tristan! Right. He was one of the nicer ones, Jessie had decided. She smiled back as she caught his eye.
"Hey Tris," she waved and walked over. Peering over his shoulder, she looked down at the PSP. "Whatcha playing?" She never was any good at video games. She always got nervous during action or battle games and ended up just slamming on all of the buttons- which never worked out well. And in racing games? Let's just say, Jessie had to beg really hard to get driving lessons.
He smiled when she called him 'Tris' not many people called him that. He was fine with it, of course, it just struck him as strange, that's all. "Hey Jessie. How are you? Wanna sit?" He patted the chair beside him, indicating that she should sit.
"Oh. Need For Speed. It's my favorite game right now. Gotta love going fast. Ever played?" He saved the game really quick and turned it off. Rude to play a game while talking to someone, after all.
"Anyways, enjoying yourself so far? Getting used to Xaviers?"
Jessie laughed at the irony. Need for Speed, eh? If he only knew...As for the Tris, well, that was Jessie. Friendly and comfortable with everyone, more or less. It didn't strike her as odd that she nicknamed people she had only just met. Well, this was Jessie. As a easy going Southern Gal, most things didn't strike her as odd. She was just a Georgia Peach, raised on sweet tea and hush puppies. From South Carolina. The girl, that was, not the hush puppies. Although, she supposed they were also from South Carolina
( ... )
Tristian smiled at her, not knowing why she was laughing, exactly. But, did it really even matter? A laugh was a laugh, and laughs were good. Er, at least for the most part, that is. He didn't know about the the irony in it for her, but, he could go fast if he wanted to, too, which was ironic in itself.
He arched a brow at her incomplete thought. Did this mean her power had something to do with speed? And if it did? Then they had a lot in common. "Let me guess. Your power has to do with speed?" He smiled at her. After so many years at Xavier's, he just came out and asked what others powers were. It saved a lot of time and energy.
He smiled and patted her on the back in a friendly way. "I'm glad! So many people that come here aren't too happy right off the bat. Good to see that you are." Really, he didn't know why people didn't like Xavier's. Crazy, in his mind. "Oh, me? Since I was nine, so eight years now."
