[Jade, I hope you don't mind this. XD]

Ever since she had heard him sneezing, Mei knew that Jacob would be bedridden with a cold rather shortly. Naturally she made sure that there were plenty of tissues about as well as soup cans because when the time came, he would need them. She knew him well enough that he wouldn't have any medicine, so it seemed that preparing to take care of him was the only thing she could do. At times she had considered grinding up a bit of this and that and putting it in his food so he would heal faster, but that was a slippery slope to treachery so she decided against that approach.

By ten that morning, Mei was very well certain that today the cold had peaked and there was a very congested boy in Jacob's room. After all, she hadn't seen him about, and he normally tended to Hector before lunch time, at least. Though she did have a significant amount of homework to tend to, she chose instead to head to the kitchens and get a bit of soup going for her dear friend. Though this was perhaps obvious, considering Jacob was usually the one to help her with her homework anyway.

Carrying a tray of soup, a box of tissues, orange juice, and a small flower which she had produced quickly from a pot in her room, Mei made her way down the hall, careful not to spill anything. She nearly tripped once or twice, the soup sloshing this way and that in it's bowl, but thankfully never out. Reaching the door, Mei found with a great deal of joy that it had been left slight ajar. Oh, how dreadful would it have been if in her attempts to help him, she woke him. She toed the door open carefully, peeking in. This was a boys room and there was always a possibility of a boy being inside, doing something scandalous, so she was especially cautious. "Tristian?" she whispered, not wanting to disturb the boy she had not come to see, either.

She spotted Jacob rather quickly, seeings how he was in his bed, and she smiled to see he was awake. Pushing the door open a bit more fecklessly, she entered quickly and shut the door behind her with her foot. "..How..are you?" she asked, careful to say the proper thing and sound sincere at the same time - not that she ever failed to sound sincere. Setting the tray on his night stand, Mei took a seat at the edge of his bed, smiling sweetly. "I brought soup and tissues and a cup of juice."
