((Sorry I'm replying here instead of to Ottopie, but when she threatens to dissolve my face off, I tend to listen.))

Since her arrival, something had happened to Aleida. She wasn't afraid anymore. She wasn't afraid of the other mutants, she wasn't afraid of Kase reading her thoughts, but most importantly she wasn't afraid of herself any more. It had been ages since she had actually injured herself and she had managed to stuff all of those memories away where they couldn't bother her. Ha! Let Kase try to upset things now; she would've hit a brick wall.

Also, since her arrival, she had found a rather intriguing boy whose name she did not know. Really, she knew nothing about him, except perhaps the most defining factor. He was the coldest person she had ever met. Even she had a soft spot somewhere that Phoebe relentlessly seemed to tap, but this boy had a heart of stone. She would watch him occasionally, trying to be as inconspicuous as possible. She marveled at him frequently, hoping she could one day model herself after him. One ( ... )

Displeased? Of course he was displeased. He could look around and see no pain and suffering and that was enough to make him displeased. What good was a smile if it was wasted on something like happiness and not pleasure in things one really enjoyed, like proving someone wrong or scaring people for life.

He did, however, notice the girl staring at him. He'd actually noticed it before, and to tell the truth he was growing rather tired of it. He was not someone's topic of study, nor was he a human interest piece. He casually looked over at the girl, who seemingly was reading a book. But, he knew better. He could sense it.

He smiled as an idea came to his mind. He looked at the book, concentrating on the text. Even though he couldn't read it, he could still rearrange the words to give the nosy chick a messege. A small smile did play at his lips now as he thought about her reaction. The best case scenario would be that she would scream or show some visible sign of fear. That would make his day.
