Acadians Helping Cajuns: Gulf Coast Disaster Relief Concert Festival

New Gloucester, Maine…
High upon Gloucester Hill at Thompson’s Apple Orchard (276
Gloucester Hill Rd. in New Gloucester) on Sunday, September 18th, organizers in conjunction with the American Red Cross will be hosting a benefit concert in a festival format from 10:00 a.m. - 6 p.m. where 100%of the proceeds will go to the Golf Coast disaster relief efforts.

The fundamental organizers - Dave Rowe Music, Fiddlehead Center for the Arts, L/A Arts, Thompson’s Apple Orchard and, of course, the American Red Cross, are very excited about their chance to help the victims of the Gulf Coast with our neighboring communities. Feeling very far away to do any immediate help,
Dave Rowe started the effort by making these initial calls to get the fundraiser ball rolling.

In addition, many other businesses including HPA Production Services and Penmor Lithographers, Inc. have come forth to help make this concert a success in a very short period of time. Artists have donated their stage time to make this
event a fun day for the whole family, while helping to raise money for the biggest natural disaster in American history.

Two stages have been planned and the line up includes: Dave RoweTrio, Denny Breau Trio, Half Moon Jug Band, Boreal Tordu, Turkey Hollow, Chuck Kruger, Pam Baker, Mom's Home Cooking, Jim Gallant, members of the Maine Songwriters' Association, and others as they are confirmed. In addition to the wonderful music there will be food, alternative energy information, artists, apple picking and more so bring a picnic and join in on the fun-raiser! You can
purchase the tickets in advance on line at: www.fiddleheadcenter.org.

Ticket prices at the gate and in advance are just $8.00 with a Bucket Brigade donation center on site. Children under 12 are FREE. Please bring your own chair and kindly leave all pets home. For more information please call either Fiddlehead Center for the Arts at 688-2244 or L/A Arts at 782-7228.
