My parents are arguing about a boat, something insignificant, whatever.
My eyes hurt. I guess three nights in a row of only 3 hours of sleep can do that to ya. Thankfully Deane let me sleep in his room today during soccer practice.
I learned from my sister that I have a new reputation as "a pretty big slacker" on the team. Well I'm not really sure how new that reputation is and I don't deny it as I love to slack; but on the soccer field I play a lot more intensely than the rest of the JV bastards. The kids who think that just because they're on JV that they dont have to play their best game when theyre out there. Fuck em, I'll show em up soon enough.
Anyway the reason I wasn't playing was that I am sick. Nasal congestion, runny nose, post nasal drip: the works. Not to mention the aches and pains everywhere. Tonight I think I'll be somewhat back on the school sleep cycle and then everything will clear up pretty quickly.
Sean came over tonight and I served him some beef stew with really good bread from West Falmouth. Then I made some tea and we went upstairs and talked and listened to tons of music.
Sam: friday night is a good night for Sean to jam. I told him 7 would be good.
My nerves are a lot more calm than they were a few days ago. I've gotten over the initial shock of running head first into the school year. I also have the firm belief that music cures all ails. The concert last night was one of the best and most memorable nights of my life, despite the fact that I was sick and physically I felt terrible. Jason was way way cooler than I expected and I have to thank Sam for graciously giving me more of the spotlight even though he could have owned the show: thanks buddy. I owe you one.
Time to tuck in to this mug of warm milk and turn out the lights.
Goodnight people,
~Jon
