Oh God, this is great. I love how you're treating this, it's really believable. How John hates all this, but he's still so stoic about it, and not totally overemotional, and how heartbreaking it was when he told Sherlock about Harry hitting him with the bottle: like he hadn't even realized how abnormal and wrong it was until he saw the look on Sherlock's face. Tragic, really. I love it. Write more!

This comment has been so dear to me just so you know! I keep reading it for encouragement! I was really hoping to convey that John HATES this! Yes that's exactly how to put it. I think we sort of get that in the show. Harry is a part of his life he never wants to broach!
