Sleep

For once Sherlock and John were sprawled out in their bed.  The couch having been abandoned for an overdue night in their room, John dragging the detective away from his laptop with little argument.  Sherlock’s limbs characteristically twisted around John’s, his face burrowed into the doctor’s shoulder.  A peace had fallen over the apartment, a ( Read more... )

BEST ONE YET! For reals. I have that exact same problem, and I love that you gave it to Mycroft and Margo. ADORBS! xD And LOTR would totally put me to sleep too, I managed to get like 4 pages into the Hobbit once but that was all I could stand about the color of the grass.

Oh thank you so much! For following this story! It's <3 to me! Really!

Oh I actually love LOTR!
I figured to a mind that can't stop it would help distract from the immediate and let them sleep! I think I'll have to explain in another snippet.

The Hobbit is very different than LOTR though! You should give it a chance! ;) I mean when you don't need to sleep! :P

Oof. And Sherlock's all "really? I can just buy sardines and donuts and that will shut you up?" *shakes head*

He's trouble. Well done. ^_^

:: huge grin ::

though I object using LOTR to send them to sleep. :p

btw: "Harry leaned her forehead into Mycroft’s arm." that should be "Margo" right? :)

Oops! That's the second time I switched up a name! I must have been tired.

You know I actually love LOTR! My thinking is that Sherlock doesn't indulge in fantasy because it isn't relevant. So for someone who can't stop there mind from going over relevant things maybe something that doesn't reflect on their immediate life would distract them. I should have been clearer about this!

I'll write a sequel! Because the Mycroft in my head has a secret passion for sci-fi/Fantasy books!

Thanks for reading!

nah, it's fine, I was just teasing. I actually agree that LOTR would send the Holmeses to sleep, all those talk of magic and elves and hobbits must sound so boring and illogical to them.

and yay for sequel!
