Kid Holmes and Watson

So I was trying my hand at drawing Holmes and Watson as kids.  For the challenge.  So I based it off the story I'm writing for the challenge and this is what I got.  But Holmes doesn't look like Holmes!  Should I make his hair darker?  I think I may redo this one actually.  With different facial expressions or something.

You're right about the hair -- it would look more 'Sherlock' if it were darker and maybe a bit messier? He sort of looks like Mycroft there, except for the frown, which is trademark Sherlock. ;)

If you darkened the shorter child's hair to black then the taller one could be Mycroft and the shorter one Sherlock and if you sepia tone it then you can call it family portrait...the frowns would definitely fit if my suspicions about their child hood is true LOL!
