He wasn’t doing much that was for sure. Truthfully, he didn’t need to do that much. A mission had come and gone back at Akatsuki headquarters, a bounty dead and paid for. Sasori had earned his keep for a few months, thanks to that. A definite secure spot at Akatsuki was with him, he was sure.
Now, you’re probably wondering just what Akatsuki is, and why this Sasori’s in it. Akatsuki was, very simply, a bounty hunter group. They take what jobs they can, pay their group, and are a small family because of it. They are in groups of two, a bunch of misfits themselves, and do what they can to scrounge together a living in these rather unfortunate times.
Sasori ran his hands through the strands of his hair that framed his face absently, pulling the small baseball cap closer to his head. Some areas by the edge of the cap were scraped off from much use, and the whole cap had this ‘used’ aura around it. Because, well, it was. Sasori used it when he went out, for no reason other than the fact that he liked to keep rather inconspicuous. Red hair wasn’t so common anymore, not vibrant red hair like his. So, needless to say, he stuck out when he wasn’t wearing something to cover most of his hair. So that’s why he wore that rather simple black cap with a symbol for some baseball team long forgotten. Besides, it wasn’t like they played baseball anymore anyway.
He sighed, hands sliding down the used GAP sweatshirt that he’d found ages ago and had worn ever since. The drawstrings were pulled rather tight, tied carelessly around his neck. The only reason he wore this grey shirt was because of the fact that he’d rather not have people gawking at his ‘expansions.’ He said expansions, because in the quickest way to explain, those were what they were. Long ago, Sasori had forfeited his human body in favor of something…much more advanced. He had turned himself into a cyborg, then. He tweaked his body, little things here and there until he was something that was favorable to him, and such an asset in the small fights that Akatsuki had to do.
A smirk tugged across his lips, his right hand sliding into the large pocket that was by the bottom of the sweatshirt. He knew if you looked at him, you’d see a commoner, a failed experiment. Essentially, that was what he was. Excluding the failed part, of course. He liked to think that he was in his prime. But yes. Gap had long since closed down, and Sasori’s shirt was very much near-ruin. The top of the ‘G’ had fallen off, and the bottom of the ‘P’ and ‘A’ lay in scratched shambles. But to some people, especially in this area, it was gold.
They didn’t get much around here, Sasori knew that. Yet some of these people…They’d found Kisame here. Leader had found Kakuzu here. This was always a place to go when you wanted to pick through things. And if Sasori didn’t find someone worthwhile, there was always a matter of taking the pretties, or the ones that interested him, and conducting his own experiments. It wasn’t like most of the people here would amount to anything, after all.
It was easy enough for him to blend in with the slightly ‘richer’ of the groups here, as he stalked the streets looking for something worthwhile to entertain him until he had a mission from Leader again.
Ears pricked for any noise, an eye scanning the area, Sasori was-
Distracted by a yelp. He couldn’t help but laugh at this, a small chuckle, really, as he walked over towards where the slight cries were coming from. It wasn’t as if he needed to be there, even if the one was getting attacked. He didn’t need to do this, to save this person from…
Oh, interesting. It was one of the hybrids. The three tailed turtle, to be precise. Quickly, Sasori drew a gun from the holster by his side and aimed it at the hybrid. A smirk flitted across his lips as he shot at the creature, hearing a strangled cry as the ‘bullet’ whizzed past his ear, taking a chunk of it as the creature squealed and ran away.
Pathetic being…Oh. You might be wondering why Sasori didn’t show any of his body, or use any of the fancy things that he’d installed. Well, the answer to that is rather obvious. Sasori didn’t want to show all of his tricks first thing, especially to some…Girl.
“You alright, kid?” He asked absently, shoving the gun back in its holster as he surveyed the-oh. It was a boy, not a girl. A rather feminine boy. He frowned, slightly, looking down at the kid. Hm. Maybe he should’ve just let this one die. He didn’t seem to be of any use to him.
