I share similar feelings. I need a fresh start, but at the same time, I fear such drastic change. In some regards, I feel like I chickened out going to U of M, because I knew that there would be people there that I was already friends with, which would allow for less of a transition. And, what if the desires I've held for so long aren't right anymore? What if I go through life without making any kind of an impact on the world, and instead resign myself to a cliched life in suburbia with 2.5 kids and a 9 to 5 job? I suppose these are dilemmas that must be taken one day at a time, or else we may be forced into a mould from which we can never break free...

Oh, and I got thoroughly confused by U of M today. I asked whether they only accepted credit from one of the two language arts APs (Lit and Comp), and the answer I received was that the person had never heard of AP Lit credits...is there some sort of conspiracy? Are we trapped in a vortex of Mahler's insanity? AAH...
