Marie Antoinette, my dear Grammastola Aureostriata tarantula, finally re-emerged today after a week long stay hermited up in her shelter as she molted. I don't just have A SPIDER. I have three. They are beautiful.

If you are gonna get some Avic buddies for Amelia try and make sure that they are the exact same size and make sure you always keep lots of food available for them so they dont get hungry and eat eachother. And make sure that they have a lot of room. I would get a big tank and not more then 3 tarantulas. Make sure they are all the same Avic species too because cross species housing can be bad news.

Yeah, I have been researching multi-tarantula housing so know all of this. The only part of it that concerns me is making sure that they are all the same Avic species. I'll probably have to either order one or come up to Canada to get the little guy because the pet stores around here not only have really unhealthy spiders, they have poor selection and don't have the spiders categorized with their scientific names.

Pet store owner: "Well yes we got 'em spiders in this ol' place righten back heeeer. This one well we call heeeer a rosehair."
Brook: "So this is a Grammastola Rosea?"
Pet store owner: "I dun know."
Brook: "Male or female?"
Pet store owner: "I dun know."
Brook: "This doesn't really look like a rosehair to me. Are you sure that is what this is?"
Pet store owner: "I know it's a gosh darn tarantullllla. I heard on a news report on the picture box that most spiders in the movies are rose hairs so I'm betting this one is too."
Brook: "You are retarded."
