Everyone is touting how bio-fuels are a green source of energy and better for the environment then fossil fuels. Now we see some of the major car companies getting behind bio-fuels such as ethanol, but has anyone thought of the negative impacts of these bio-fuels. food prices are rising because people are greedy.
it will be a long time before there is an actual shortage of food and not a mismanagement in distribution.

the more real problem with looking to corn/grain to replace oil (not just fuel, but plastic alternatives) is that land is being used exclusively for corn, which is bad for the soil/environment. domestic farmers who used to diversify, don't anymore. and land that used to be forest is harvested and turned into cornfields (or soybean fields).
