Fooling around

I have been fooling around with love and poetry lately, mostly poetry, and mostly love. Seeing how I feel. I find myself being an emotional rollercoaster, each day bringing a new high and a new low, which is rather disorientating. The same with poetry. Its hard to look at my own poetry and see if its good, if its bad, what needs to be done with it ( Read more... )

I will discuss this journal later on. But I had to comment the photo.
It is one of the most beautiful things I ever saw. And I don't care how it came into being.

that's interesting... it was initially your adjectives that attracted me to your poetry, they came across as so beautiful to me. but I understand now taht some of it was empty beauty.. not all, of course. it's good that you feel more confidant in your style now. it's been a WHILE since I've seen you write a poem as short as the first, if ever. kind of reminds me of william carlos williams, but less bare... you ever read his poetry? I've only read two or three of his poems, haha, silly me. but there is one by him that I really like, it goes like this:

there are some things sadder
than you or I.
some people never even touch.

anyway, I like it. it's simpler, but still pretty, but more to the point.

I like the second one too... I don't know what your intended meaning was but it really gives me the sense of misguided good intentions. oh and I love the photo but I've already seen it so it seems redundant to say it except I am saying it so I guess that means I'm redundant!

oh yeah, and why is having a mentor selfish?
