So, been at the new job now for nearly a month. Enjoying it. The atmosphere is much more relaxed (or is it just a lack of a sense of impending doom?), and the project has allowed me time to explore creatively. Commuting is tough and not something anyone can understand unless they've done it day after day, week after week, month after month... :(

Still, hopefully this is the start of better things for you. I'd definitely suggest staying away some of the time; it'll not only make your working days much easier but also mean you're better able to enjoy the little time you do get off! No fun having weekends when you can't stay awake to enjoy them.

I do now have a hate of lorries overtaking each other when they have less than a mile an hour difference in speed between them ;) Ruins my hypermileing

The feedback I'm getting on my artwork in the studio is giving me huge confidence boost :)

My husband does a similar commute -- yea - it's tough -- years ago, my mom had a job that it was just easier for her to take an apt close to the job and only be home on weekends ... it wasn't easier - but she eventually found something closer to home -- still a commute - but at least she was home during the week too ...

As for owing the "rents money -- happens to the best of us (even me) -- don't ask how much I owe my father ... I'm just glad he was able to help out when I needed it ...

Things will work out -- I have faith ! You and Sarah will get the life you want -- just with a few bumps in the road... but with those bumps - you'll realize you can work out anything ... believe you me, Mike and I had plentyof bumps when we first got married - bumps that I wish upon NO ONE, and now come Nov. we'll be married 9 years (and together for over 12) - so it can be worked out ...

Hugs from across the pond !

Yeah, it's been a tough couple of years, but the level of love and support Sarah has given me through it all has been incredible. Pretty sure we can get through anything life wants to throw at us, now.
