This is an odd realiztion I have come to: I don't really feel like I belong to a community right now.

I don't feel particularly lonely. And while I continue my ongoing search for meaning in my life, I don't really feel a weight of emptiness in my life because I don't belong to a community. Just a parculiar sense that something is missing.

So I started working night shift recently which was a nice change of pace.  It was nice to be able to fill in for a guy who had recently quit suddenly and for no apparent reason....and I NEVER want to do it again. I went to see King Kong on what was Wednesday for me in a Korean theatre (movies in Korea are turned over on the first of every month, so King Kong and Harry Potter both came out on December 1st, also, foreighn films are shown in 2 styles, dubed and subbed, I saw subbed). In the past two days I've spent about 10 or so hours in 2 Korean (obiviously) museums. The first one was the Korean National Museum, it just recently opened actually. I was reading in my Korean culture book (published in 2003, judging from what they had printed) and they said that the Korean National Museum used to be in a major political office ( Read more... )

So I also dreamed some stuff, but this is for real, I am traveling for 3 weeks in Korea...its nuts.
