Nightmares.
Today is finally over! It was so tiring; I got caught up running a few errands for the tenth division that I'd forgotten, and I didn't get to visit Ukitake-taichou like I had hoped to. Maybe I can surprise him tommorow with some lunch!
In any case, I should be going to bed..
But I don't want to sleep. He's always invading my dreams; nightmares, whatever they may be. I undress and see the mark on my chest; it's still there, even though Unohana-taichou healed it to her fullest capabilities. Maybe it's supposed to remain there, to remind me that I shouldn't be upset about his leaving.
Then I dress and fall asleep. And every night it's different. He'll be smiling in one dream, while his blade glints with blood in another.
But this hurts. I'm sure they'll go away in time.
