I wish I had the means to aid Japan, I have no job, and really short on money which is a shame. They are always in my prayers. There are many places were one can donate money such as Red Cross, and Unicef

they did have a help_pakistan community somewhere.... i remember one of my flisters auction her fic-writing talents for it

They did but I found months later if you understand what I mean, it wasnt broadcasted like every where, which is a shame because why should one place not get all the help they can.

i have a smallish flist and most of my active flisters pimped it out (because they're awesome!). i have no idea how much fandom support was behind it all coz i'm not really active in fandom circles ;D but yeah i do know what you mean and there's a lot of politics behind all this you know? sucks but that's the way the world works *sighs*

You know, this is what I loathe about media. They make some things more important than others even though people should know about the suffering people are going through no matter where it is. 8|
