So that the moon might send me
Your warm silhouette. Playful thoughts composed while the usually hot-tempered evening air, cooled by the soothing touch of rain, drifts in through the invitation of my window. Beautiful yourself! Thank you kindly, I'm glad you're enjoying them. This one was actually composed while I was up late studying alone in the room with only my desk lamp (and rice paper lantern beside the bed) on. I opened the window to allow the evening breeze in and while I was gazing out from my chair, I reflected on how wonderfully the window framed the moon. Then I playfully thought how even more delightful it would be if someone were to appear in the window, a framed silhouette against the bold moon, and sit with me. Dismissing such a notion from my mind I resumed studying, when a gust of wind suddenly picked up and shook both lantern and trees, sending a large shadow flickering across the windowsill into the darkened room- making it appear as if something or someone actually had slipped in through the window to join me
