[Auron's been busy- fighting trees and butterflies- and is now finally having a reprieve. He heads out from House 52 and follows the river toward the nearby lake, where he eventually pauses.]

[If recent events aren't the work of the Malnosso or their mysterious other enemy... This does not bode well.]Turning against ourselves... yet we're all ( Read more... )

I couldn't agree more. We can't do anything about the Malnosso, but at the very least, I'd like to do something about the nuisances within the barrier.

There's little to be gained in fighting among ourselves. Does this sort of occurrence happen often?

This is the first time anything this massive has happened. But there are random incidents of them attacking or killing a person. Apparently, these people do it for their own pleasure.

That complicates our situation.

I'm not sure I'd go that far.

And why is that?

Well... It's not like all of us are choosing to turn against each other. Some people are just naturally enemies from their own worlds before arriving here.

Yet some of their actions have affected the entire population.

[Sigh.]

Isn't that the truth. Most of us get along -or at least mind our own business- just fine, but the few troublemakers are spoiling it for the rest of us.

Our captors must take fascination in watching us destroy ourselves.

Undoubtedly, especially since they provide no means for us to effectively deal with them. Even killing them just postpones the inevitable by a week.

And even should they return from death weakened, it may not make enough of a difference.

[ He might find someone tagging along wordlessly after a while. Cheza's been in town for long enough. ]

[Auron hears the sound of someone approaching, and turns warily to glance around. He relaxes when he sees it's Cheza, fortunately no threat. He nods a greeting and then slows so that she can join him as he continues to the lake.]

[ She'll take the invitation and catch up, though stay walking just behind him. ] This one has been waiting for things to calm before returning to the forest. It is good that you are safe, as well.

[He continues along, definitely in agreement about that.] The danger is passed for now, but there's no telling how long this calm will last.

I assume you've also fared well?

It's inevitable, considering the variety of individuals gathered here.

It may well be.

I'm sure our captors anticipated such a thing, and take interest in watching these incidents as they happen.

Humans have trouble existing peacefully in any world, when so many people from different worlds are pushed together I imagine it only becomes more complicated.

I suppose that's so. The nature of our situation is unlike anything most have likely handled before.
