We could not believe our luck. We can debated for quite a while whether to take a trip back to Canada this Christmas, but in the end decided that, as this was likely to be our last winter in Europe, to take a trip over here somewhere. Awesome pics! Looks like you had a great time. Much better than being here with all the snow! You're right, you probably would have been visiting an airport for long periods of time - not much fun.

What a great way to spend Christmas. :-)

If you want to have a way out experience, aim for one of the Saints' days. If you do go, let me know and I will give you a couple of contacts who are great and can let you know some of the ins and outs. It is a beautiful place and well worth the trip. My friend Josh was saying that it isn't uncommon to find tickets from London for under 40 quid in the off season. Being south of Sicily, the summer sees temperatures upwards of 40C. Don't know about you, but I would die in that weather.
