So my mom is set to have her knee surgery in about two and a half hours. She's supposed to be there at 7:30. I'm not really nervous or scared for her. I don't know if that's a bad thing or a good thing. I mean I know there's nothing really to worry about cos it's her knee and nothing bad should happen but I guess there's always that chance. sigh. Good Luck to your mom I am sure everything will be fine. Just lots of Physical Therapy for a while. My BF had knee surgery back in December and is still doing the therapy. Mom probably won't be able to climb stairs very well for a while and move a bit slower. Driving could also be a problem at first. But other than that, it's not so bad.

It wasn't bad at all. It took like 2 hours to do the whole thing, surgery, recovery, etc. She'll have to be off her knee for a few days or so. They only had to cut a tendon and move the kneecap into the right position or something like that.

I'm not completely sure what the surgery was for my mom. All I know is that they cut one of the tendons and moved her kneecap over to set it right, I think. I'm pretty much in the dark about the whole thing cos they haven't mentioned it much to me. The only way I know that much is by being nosey. :D
