here's my incoherent theory on religious matters. for background, i was raised catholic and am now a chemistry major... kinda opposite ends of the spectrum, so id like to think that ive seen both extremes

8) no, i dont think that they are unethical. i think that our generation tends to see things like alcohol and sex as evil is because our parents generation rammed it down our throats from day one (which is mostly a product of the fact that their generation had hippies and woodstock and acid etc). obviously, getting drunk to the point of blacking out, or overdosing on drugs, or anything else in excess is probably bad for you, and a bad decision, but i wouldn't say that it is morally wrong. unless your drunkenness causes you to cause harm to someone else. like, if you get drunk and beat your wife or something...
1. It's kind of hard for me to narrow down what I believe in because to be honest I am not really sure what I believe. I have heard so many different theories and conjectures both going to a Catholic University (Villanova) and being a Philosophy major that my belief "structure" resembles more of a few ideas on the possibilities of God. The most prevalent of which is that Jesus preaches God's new gospel but, the message is distorted to such a degree that it is impossible to know what he actually said as opposed to what the "Catholic" Church said. Also I don't believe in the Trinity. To me it just seems ridiculous. Jesus is not the son of God and God himself. He never says in any Gospel that he is God. Sitting at the right hand of the Father doesn't make you the father. That is definitely a product of St. Augustine of Hippo and not Jesus. Also more specifically I believe in Pelagianism which to quote wikipedia means
