Ok Vik. About the background. It's in the settings, but the problem is you need a place to store the image online. If the image is already online, your set. If not... eh.. it gets complicated.

Assuming you have an image online, figure out the URL to it. Go to the MANAGE tab at the top, scroll to CUSTOMIZE. Once that page loads, go down to EDIT CUSTOMIZATIONS. A bunch of Tabs load. Click BACKGROUND, then go to the first item. Click the box that says "override default." Once you select that, a box appears, which you insert the URL of the image. You can change other options for that image on that page as well. You should be able to figure it out from there.
