I've recently gone up a cup size or so and I'm having an even harder time finding bras which fit because now not even the specialty shops near me stock my size. I've tried online shops, but I'm getting tired of sending half a dozen bras back and forth several times without finding anything that fits.
I'm hoping that perhaps some of the members here can offer some recommendations. I'm looking for a sturdy, long-lasting everyday bra without a lot of frills (with underwire, without padding/molding). Ideally I'd like one which isn't 'fashionable' so that I can continue to purchase the same model for many years to come. Support and durability are more important to me than price or appearance.
Prior to this increase, I was using primarily the Prima Donna Madison in 80G (EU)/ 36G (UK) and was happy with it. I had three of them for two years, and they seemed quite sturdy: I didn't have any wires poking out, and the elastic only started to give after a year and a half (with handwashing & wearing 2x a week). Unfortunately, the model doesn't go beyond an H cup, and the 80H (EU) was too small.
I tried the following:
* Panache Evie 36H (UK) - cup was a little big; uncomfortable
* Panache Andorra 36H (UK) - cup fit but poked in armpits
* Panache Tango Plunge 36H (UK) - too high in armpits, cup too big
* Freya Rio 36H (UK) - didn't lie flat against breastbone
* Freya Pollyanna 36H (UK) - cup a little too big
* Freya Pollyanna 36GG (UK) - cut into flesh near armpits
* Cleo Lucy 36GG (UK) - cup too small, fabric curls in armpits
* Bravissimo Alana 36H (UK) - cup a bit too big
I have also tried dozens of Triumph bras in 80G (EU) and established that the cups are too small. I've never found a Panache bra that fits me well; they all poke in the armpits.
I've had the following "successes":
* Best Form Pure Bra 80I (EU)
* Chantelle 80G (EU)/ 36F (UK) (some models fit; others too small)
The Pure bra sometimes pokes me in the armpits, and sometimes fits well. The Chantelle bras--or at least the ones which fit me, such as the Africa 3 part cup--seemed extremely lacy and fancy and not really what I was looking for.
