I suppose it is about time I introduced myself to you all. My name is Angel Starr, and I will be joining your merry little crew as a chef. Charmed to meet you all, I'm sure.

I must ask, though... does the ship always smell this badly? Did your whole pantry go rotten?

As for the smell...well, I think everyone's told you by now, so no need for repetition, right? Although, I agree with you. The durians definitely smell a little worse for the wear, so I've been searching for a nice mix of potpourri to mask the odor myself.

Good thing the durians won't last forever, hm?

That's a relief. Though I admit, it's a little surprising that fresh fruit could be so repulsive to the senses.

Mr. Seta's durians do have quite a ripe smell, but I am sure the two of us will be able to amend that once we begin to cook.

That is most definitely the smell of durians, and I've had to create a makeshift mask for myself to breathe whenever I get near the kitchens. I suppose they're an acquired taste but I've never understood how the first person to eat them ever got close enough without losing his or her lunch.
