Appearance: Angel's most unique feature is her eye color. Or rather, colors. Her left eye is a very dark brown, almost black, and her right eye is a very pale blue, almost white. Because of this difference, she wears her bangs to cover one eye at a time. When only her left eye is showing, the color makes her pupils look larger, which helps her look very sweet and trustworthy, and when only her right eye is showing, the color makes her pupils seem tiny, which gives her an icy glare. She will flip her bangs back and forth throughout a conversation.
She is a beautiful woman, and seems to only have improved with the maturity of age. Her hair is a light, golden brown with gentle, curling waves. Normally she will wear a black dress that clings nicely to her curves, with a neckline that plunges down to the bottom of her cleavage. Over this, she often wears a white fur coat which was bought for her by one of her boyfriends.. On her head, she wears a fuzzy, circular maroon hat, tilted to one side, with a pair of fake onigiri decorating one side of it. She also wears a large pair of golden hoop earrings, a black choker with a red pendant on it, and black high heels. She sometimes keeps a basket over one arm when she's carrying something.
Personality: Angel is a femme fatale with a split personality. One moment she seems true to her name, a lovely and trustworthy woman who would never hesitate to assist her fellow man. The next moment she seems to be a cold-hearted devil, a ruthless and sinister woman who would gladly grind you beneath her heel. She is heaven and hell, fire and ice, yin and yang at the same time. She flips between these two personalities easily, with nothing more than a flip of her bangs, all the while keeping a cool, deceptive smirk on her lips.
However, neither of these are her true self. At heart, she is actually an intelligent and calmly detached woman, as well as a shrewd manipulator of others. Her main concern is her own pride and reputation, followed by those of her professional partners. Very goal-oriented, he is someone who will know what she wants and will quickly figure out how she can get it. If you can win her respect, she will be a reliable friend and a useful ally. But if you cross her, hell hath no fury.
She could be described as a connoisseur of other people, particularly men. Angel keeps a collection of boyfriends and lovers and is completely casual about this fact. Some of her lovers know they have competition, while others do not, depending on whether or not Angel thinks the information would upset them. They give her general information about the other ships, and will usually do favors for her if she asks them, including delivering her lunchboxes to the other ships. If one becomes a liability in some way, she will not hesitate to dump them, in which case she will simply find a new boyfriend to replace them.
She has had military training, and is in good physical shape for a woman her age. Though combat is not her specialty and she does not know any fighting styles, she has enough speed and strength to chase down a civilian and subdue them. She is also a decent shot with a pistol, even with one eye covered, and tends to keep one hidden in her basket as her only weapon for self defense.

Though she is experienced in preparing a variety of cuisine, her specialty is lunchtime specials, which are usually served over rice. How well can your character hack?: As an information specialist, Angel has been tinkering with the journals since they were first made and can currently hack up to Medium difficulty. She also has a boyfriend who can hack all the way up to Very Hard difficulty, but she must specifically request for him to do so and relay the information back to her. Thus, she has to be discriminating about what she wants him to hack and why, lest he grow suspicious or annoyed with her requests.

She has spent the past two years building the new identity of Angel Starr and taken the low-key position of cook to try and avoid this problem.

Working at the restaurant was a great early influence on her, allowing her to meet many people, get an inside look at the military and government, learn about the politics of the city and of Reial as a whole, and build a strong work ethic even while her family became very wealthy from the constantly heavy business.
Kyouka enrolled at Belarus Academy, quickly developing an interest in tactics and warfare, particularly the psychological aspects of it. Meanwhile, other students were quickly developing an interest in her, and she gained a reputation for having four or five boyfriends at any one time. Because of this, there were rumors that her high marks at the academy were likely because she was sleeping with someone in the higher-ups.
However, when she was first assigned to an airship, there became no further questions about her skill. She started as a Sub-Lieutenant and a Seaman, and in under a decade she had been climbed the ranks to Lieutenant Commander and a Strategist. Her fondness for food and her reputation for getting information from captured pirates resulted in her getting the nickname "Cough-up Queen", and by that point no one seemed to really mind how many men she was sleeping with or why.
About two years ago, the ship Kyouka was working on was in pursuit of a highly dangerous pirate named Joe Darke. Their ship chased down Darke's and engaged in battle, and by the end of it Darke was captured. While transporting him to Bellcius, however, the ship was caught in a thunderstorm and struck by lightning, and had to make an emergency landing. In the ensuing confusion, Darke escaped the brig, and was cornered by Neil Marshall. The exact details of what happened there are unclear, but Marshall was killed, Darke was knocked out, and a young passenger named Ema Skye was found unconscious in the room as well.
After the ship and crew were rescued by the Victoria II, Darke was brought back for Bellcius for trial, where he was convicted and executed for his crimes of piracy and the murder of Neil Marshall. In the aftermath, Damon Gant and Lana Skye were both promoted for the successful capture of Joe Darke. The rest of the crew, however, was suddenly scattered. Many of the best and brightest crew on board were suddenly demoted with little explanation. The most surprising change, however, was the fate of Ichinotani Kyouka: despite being the best strategist on board and having been vital to the capture and conviction of Joe Darke, she was suddenly discharged from the military under falsified charges, such as using starvation and other methods of inhumane torture to force confessions out of captured pirates. Kyouka suspected from that moment that something had happened on board the ship which was being covered up, but she had no evidence to support it. The truth never came to light. Kyouka could do nothing but bitterly accept that she was being disposed of.

However, after the captain found himself in trouble with the law, the ship had to be decommissioned. She ended up buying it from him, with the help of family funds, and helped remodel it into a bar in Kropmork. Following that, she was hired by the Serenity.
