That's just it! I've got a sore throat, a cough and my head feels like my brain has been removed and the space refilled with high pressure snot! Man it hurts. I want to take my eyes out and stamp on them. My teeth are itching and my ears sound fluffy

Oh yes! Half a bottle of white wine with dinner, then a large port and brandy as a night cap. I will feel no pain. That's the up side to colds. And you can even wander about next morning looking like something the cat dragged and blame it all on your cold, and not the crashing hangover that a large quantity of alcohol caused - tee hee.

I once saw a doctor with a cold (I had the cold not him) and when he asked me what I was taking, I told him "Aspirin and whiskey"
He replied (with an irish accent - I kid you not he really did have one) "That's a dangerous combination - skip the aspirin"
