The sun is teasing me today. The mountain peaks around the Station are being touched by the early season rays. The Temperature is above "0" and the winds are calm. It has warmed up today (-2 deg. F) but the wind has started to blow. It is, thankfully, coming out of the South. But at 16-20 mph. coupled with the temperature the wind chill makes it hard to be outside for very long ( Read more... )

The cold has set in, it has been holding between -35 & -40 degrees F. since I returned to work. Slight wind but nothing like it was before we arrived on Thursday, so I'm thankful for that ( Read more... )

Made it into work today, not that I wanted to but the weather cleared and we were able to fly in to Galbraith. Fairbanks was still covered in fog and we opted to overfly it and go directly to the Station. Not a bad thing, stopping in Fairbanks extends our flying time by at least a half hour ( Read more... )

The weather has calmed down from the storm, crew members stuck at Prudhoe Bay made it back to the Station last night and the prediction is more of the same for the next few day's. I will be leaving in the morning for the airport for my journey home ( Read more... )

Well if its not the weather its mechanical problems.

Our plane is not due in until 13:30+ so I don't expect to get to Anchorage until 18:00 +/-. I have rescheduled my Seattle flight to 02:39 tomorrow morning. YUK I hate red eye flights.

Should be able to start my vacation by noon tomorrow.

Just got word that our aircraft has had another problem and is going back to the gate. No word on when it will get here.

My flight to Seattle leaves at 16:55 and I have no idea if I can make it.
