I did part-time retail in the past.
Walmart isn't so bad and stock is doable - with Xmas coming 3rd shift stocking will be busy. (Just beware, your hours will probably be cut in January - the post x-mas slump).

PS: Both you and DH would get a discount at walmart (not sure if that's a good or bad thing)

I think sometimes we get a little too focused on "career" and whatnot - I know I certainly do. You can't frown on heatlh benefits, not to mention what should be a low-stress environment with those added side-benefits (discounts and better hours for you). If you want to work there, work there. :)
