I agree. But as soon as the ship is within firing distance we should start ship-to-ship combat even though we are on the ground. Some of our weapons were designed to be concealed, so they may be underestimating our ability to do so.

Exactly. We can't do it until the last second, though-this strategy relies on them thinking that we're mostly helpless until we overtake them, which is the only point at which we can allow them to find out we aren't.
