[There's a sense of deja vu in the air as Mads ventures out into the Keep. Since being outed, he's kept to himself and for the most part, ignored the journal. Unless Anna's got something to say. Don't look at me like that. The man's gotta have a hobby ( Read more... )

[A mage has to have hobbies, too! In his case, he's been doing his best to do as Hawke asked, and locate any source of magic in the Keep.]

[Who knows? Maybe it could help them get home again.]

[He's writing something as he walks, his staff magically secured behind one shoulder. And he's... lost in his own thoughts, it seems like.]

[Mads ignores Anders. 1) Because he has no idea what Anders looks like and 2) because he doesn't really care who this person is and what he's doing here. So there is no 'excuse me' as he crosses Ander's path. Or if there is, it's muttered too low to matter.]

[Aara was flipping through the pages of a book, juggling with a multitude of others under her arm. Making her way from the library to the kitches, she happened to pass right by the chapel--and she's so caught up in looking at a new recipe she isn't really watching where she was going. Her brows are drawn together in concentration, the material of the skirt of her dress swishing about her legs as she walked.]

[She does cross paths with Mads in the process and he does no appreciate being walked on.]

No excuse me, my dear?

[Voice is chillingly pleasant.]

[She startles, eyes lifting from her book as she turns to stare, gape-mouthed at the stranger before her. Another being with pale eyes. Like her. She shakes herself from her observation enough to apologize, cheeks pinking slightly in embarrassment.]

I am so sorry. I was not paying attention, please forgive me.

[Her muscles tense somewhat. What if he found it inexcusable?]

[He is undeterred by her staring. Rudeness is only a minor irritation in his opinion, so it could easily be set aside. Especially considering she was begging to be forgiven. Feeding his ego made him a little more agreeable.]

All is forgiven. No harm done, non?

[Anna was just leaving the chapel - she didn't know why she had gone there, it wasn't as if the place had given her any kind of particular solitude or reassurance. It had been lonely and eerie, and Anna hadn't stayed long.

It was on her way out that she saw him and her eyes narrowed and hands balled into fists.

Just keep walking. No need for a confrontation today.]

[Mads, however, isn't about to let her pass by without a greeting. The opportunity was far too perfect. But he's not going to push his luck. There are no bodyguards here.]

Bonjour, Anna.

[She pauses only slightly, lips tightening and thinning into a grim line.]

Bonjour.

[The word is forced out through tightly clenched teeth, and Anna continues to walk, fully intending on passing the man by.]

Do not look so grim.

[He has to stop himself from calling her my love. He smiles, despite her coldness.]

Today is Sunday.
