[Mads seems to be doing nothing particularly suspicious. But considering who the man is, that's suspicious in and of itself. But he doesn't seem to be at all interested in any passersby, since he's reading an almanac from 1890

Veronica has been exploring the Keep rather slowly. Still convinced she was going to be attacked at any second, she's been trying to avoid going out too much. Today, she decided she was going to look through the library and take back as many books back to her cell as she could.
She has a few books already in her arms when she runs across Mads. She squinted at the book he was reading, trying to figure out why exactly he was reading that certain book.
His interest seems to be solely on the book in his hands. Though in reality, he was only ensuring there was nothing else to be picked up from her. After a moment, he finally stops to look at her.
[The library! Everyone knows Lily is quite partial to the library. She's been boosting her reading skills for weeks. Reading is so easy once you grasp the concept of sounding out words (and consulting a dictionary). It only makes sense that Lily would be running around, putting back all the books she checked out. She jogs past Mads a few times as she gets hopelessly lost and forgets where the fuck an Eyewitness Guides book about plants would go. Great. And what about the one on dogs? And where are the trashy teen magazines? Lily needs date ideas! She needs to be a teenager! She needs a pair of Uggs (they're apparently fashionable)!
Libraries are hard. They're hard and no one understands.]
[Mads watches her while she works over the top his book. Teenage thoughts are boring. I mean there's nothing blackmailable in this jumble of...whatever is going on in Lily's head. Still no reason not to have a little fun. He sets his gaze back down on the words and speaks when she walks by his table again.]
[Chrono has been exploring the keep and it's grounds for the last couple of days since his sudden arrival. Though his search for Rosette had ended in failure, he still refuses to believe the Lord's message about the undoing of his world. Rosette has to be safe. Unless presented with her corpse, he'll never stop believing otherwise. He can't.
But for now, today is another day of exploring. And so here he is wandering into the library.]
[The moment Mads senses the presence of another, he looks over the top of his book and watches Chrono as he wanders across the room. He's never actually seen this person before. Must be new.]
[Way to pay attention to your surroundings Chrono.
The sudden voice makes him jump and he quickly turns around to face the source of the sound. Too consumed by his own thoughts of Rosette, he hadn't even noticed that someone else was in the room.]

If you are curious, you only have to ask, ah, Veronica, was it?

Alright then. Why are you reading an almanac from 1890?

"Why not? I was not alive in 1980."

That particular book goes over here, niña.

Oh, does it really?
[It does! That particular shelf jogs her memory. The book does indeed go there.]
My name's not Niña, though. But thanks!
