I was nicknamed by "imattv back during my early twenties ... because of the gritty "dirty glamour" of the Detroit rave/music/gay scene. Back then, I mostly blogged about my group of friends and our ridiculous drug and alcohol-fueled adventures living on our own for the first time in Detroit.

Ahh, you've reminded me of my rave days in the early 90s: so young, so thin... so much hair. Frankly, I'm way more comfortable in my skin these days than I ever was in my twink-ish years.

Same, although I really miss it sometimes. There was something really amazing about that period. I felt like I truly belonged for the first time in my life. My friends were my family...and we were all really co-dependent and dysfunctional...but somehow it felt wonderful... before we realized that we weren't invincible..lol.

I like the new you as well ;) You were such a boy then! I wasn't quite that skinny...but I looked 12 until I grew a beard to cover my face.
