SUBSTITUTION Five (Day 14)

She watches him in the days following Martha’s departure. Silently observing his comings and goings, his inert meandering. He goes to the Talon everyday, twice a day. Everyday he brings back a container of coffee. Everyday he stows it away in his loft. She notices, he’s more alert now. More aware in the three days since ( Read more... )

I'm always struggling to find words when I leave a comment for this story because it's so good and sometimes I'm not sure how to put what I love about it into words. It's like there's a feeling this story evokes in me and I'm just not sure how to put it into words. Which means you're doing something right.

Anyhow, I love it. I thought Kara was awesome, with her reminder that Clark needed to make up his mind and if he was going to stay with Lana that he needed to be with Lana. I mean I don't like Lana but it's a good point for Kara to make. Lana may have done a number of wrong/evil/immoral things but Clark's way of treating her, after saying that those things don't matter to him, is very unfair. So I liked Kara as per usual.

And the dream, well, the dream rocks. Clark is getting so close, isn't he? I can see the light at the end of the tunnel for him (not for him and Chloe though, not sure how Chloe will take everything). Loved the imagery in the dream sequence and how you captured what Clark was feeling. It was amazing.

Wow! Thanks Mel. I really love your writing. So having you say this is an awesome compliment. Thank you.

I hate Lana, but Clark isn't being fair to her either. It's funny, I'm the one writing it. But oh well LOL

I enjoyed writing the dream it is a definite outlet for me. I am glad it was well received. Thanks for commenting

Thank you. Wow! Another squee. I am sooo glad you like my story that much. Clark is a bonehead. Right now, he's seeing Lana and what she did as the cause of his and Chloe's seperation... which technically it/she was the catalyst. But he has some blame to take as well, though he's not quite there.

I enjoyed writing the dream.

Thanks again for your comments and continued interest in this story.
