i faintly remembered being confused by this video in my pre-neil-young-fan days, many days past, and so i looked it up on youtube to see what was the jam. the jam, as it turns out, is that neil young is the Most Adorable Little Man. if only i could look like him as he does here then people would surely Take Me Into Their Homes.

oh my god, NEIL YOUNG AND THE SHOCKING PINKS! i had forgotten all about that period in his career. even during my darkest days of disliking Neil Young, i have always loved this album. apaprently this means i have terrible taste. no news here, i suppose.

yeah, it really isn't that great an album. "Wonderin'" is the best thing about it, and i recently discovered that it's actually a song he wrote in 1973, but never recorded. seriously, how does someone just sit on a song like that for like, 10 years?

the original is adorable in its own right (it was recorded in a live sesh on KQED radio)
