WWHD? Not what you say she would, delusional shipper.

I'm a little peeved with a few of the sailors on the good ship SS/HG.  No, not you.  I'm talking about the misogynist fucknuts who think that they and Hermione Granger are one in the same.

Comments on a certain board with which I take issue:

1. The Brood mare Remark:

I agree with your assessment, or have her accomplish something really extraordinary ( Read more... )

I think that the Molly stuff bothers me so much because it touches me in real life. I was discussing a children's safety issue at work, and a new male underling wanna-be manager didn't want deal with it. He dismissed my concerns as those of "a mommy".

He earned himself a career Avada Kedavra for that remark.

It just bothers me, right to the core, to see other women making the same type of comments.

I know! Hermione wouldn't have wasted her studies marrying Ron of her own free will and having a few kids, but she sure as hell would have submitted to a forced marriage to Snape and squeezed out a few hooked-nosed Ravenclaws.

And you know, I don't really have a problem with people liking marriage law fics. There were a few I liked as well. I have a problem with people whose reaction to canon demonstrates some fairly anti-woman sentiments.

Do you know what I would love to see? JKR responding to one of these fools in character as Hermione. It would never happen, but if it did, it would be beautiful.

Now I like to partake of a cruise on the good ship SS/HG as much as the next girl, but srsly, people don't actually think it makes canonical sense do they? *blinks* I suppose a lengthy hiatus from fandom makes you forget how batshit Snapefen can be.

Do you really think for a second that she is going to choose a man who is ugly, old enough to be her father, and treats her like shit? - No, not in the slightest. And this is why we ought all remember that We. Aren't. Hermione.

Oh, and word on all points. I particularly loathe the term 'brood mare.'

I hope SS/HG is the nuttiest ship. If it isn't, I'm afraid to see the ship that trumps them.

Amen! I think we're a bit influenced by movie!Ron, who does seem a bit thick at times. In the books he's anything but boring.

I suspect that the ship's biggest objection to Ron is that he isn't played by Alan Rickman.

For me, this isn't even a fandom thing. I'm insulted as a woman. The psychology of this fandom is fascinating.

She'd need one hell of a time turner to be the first female Minister of Magic. I know off the top of my head that the Minister preceding Fudge was Millicent somebody or other.
