i have a cape!

there was free clothing from the infoshop sitting around in kendrick and i found this piece of gauzy floral patterned fabric and i have made it into a cape! i never had a cape as a small child, so i am making up for it now. i have been walking around campus with my cape and generally being silly. yay for capes

I remember being inspired by the character of "Storm" from X-Men as a kid, so on nice and windy days, I would stand on a rock in my front yard (it's only about 3 feet high) spread my arms in the air, and pretend I was controlling the wind. There are daylilies growing around the rock, and they leave straw-like dried out forked stalks in the fall, so my sister and I would gather them and either make witches brooms or tiny tepees for Barbie doll tribes and their Ken-doll slaves. (The kens weren't always subservient, but as the Barbie dolls were in the majority, the Kens often lost in Palimentary proceedings. Perhaps some day there will be equality).
