work: going well so far. i'm catching on quickly and i haven't *knock on wood* repeated any mistakes yet. i actually kinda like restaurant work, which is interesting to me because i can't recall that i've ever liked a job (except coaching). plus, i get free food at the end of every shift. i definitely prefer the busy nights to the not-busy ( Read more... )

well, about the whole harm others harm self thing, there are many teachings in many traditions that focus on the personal situation first with the idea that a person who fully knows themself can more readily help others and contribute to the world . . .
