have you ever noticed that things that are more "natural" and healthier are often not only cheaper but also a time-saver? the only difference is that you have to plan ahead. for example, it's healthier to eat nutitious home-cooked meals and the ingredients are way cheaper 99.9% of the time, especially if you price-shop and buy in bulk. if you ( Read more... )

It's rather interesting that you should write this post. My girlfriend just recently read through the Complete Tightwad Gazette, pulling out ideas, recipes, tips, and experiences. Odd timing.

I think it all boils down to setting aside enough time to do things intentionally, if at all possible.

in some cases it costs much more to do that because of the time involved. For people willing to work to the point of hardly eating, they gain much more money working and buying insignificantly more expensive food and getting perhaps upward of $20/hr . . .
